I can still hear that HISS-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S from my back tire. Rats! At least I discovered the deflating tire in my garage and not along some back-road adventure. There’s always a silver lining, right? Fortunately, I have AAA and my automotive place specializes in tires, but the sight of my almost flat Bridgestone® reminds me of ordinary “deflators” in my everyday life.

Some days it’s the stress of work deadlines. Others it’s my lack of a healthy diet or shrugging off exercise. If I add in fewer hours of sleep and trying to doing everything today, it doesn’t take much to hear that HISS-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S from my own cells, my own soul. When I whip through my devotional time so I can dive into a hectic day, the hissing volume crescendos. But sometimes I’m too wrapped up in my to-dos to even listen. HISS-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S.

How about you? What takes the air out of your tires? What keeps you running smoothly no matter your road conditions? I’d love to know and add your tips to my 50,000-mile checkup . . . and even my daily drive.
